Timbrus

Timbrus is an international project that strives to create premium Moldovan wines. It all began with a small territory in the Purcari region (the most famous wine region of Moldova). The vineyards of Timbrus are noteworthy for their versatility in that the company successfully grows classic varieties (Merlot, Sauvignon, Cabernet, Chardonnay) as well as unique local varieties such as Rara Neagră, Viorica, Feteasca Neagră. Moreover, the company also cultivates rare varieties for Moldova, such as Saperavi, Malbec and Shiraz, which are used to create exceptional authors’ wines.

Spanish enologist Manuel Vicent Ortiz Martinez makes the wines of Timbrus. He is one of the most asked for enologists in Europe. Timbrus makes the only wine in Moldova that uses natural wine yeast. This results in Timbrus’ wines being very distinct from all the other wines of the region, with their truly European and noble style.
