In the opinion of 20 participants the leading wine was (surprise!) debutant Andrei Pripa with a 2016 wine from the Stefan Voda region. The wine first made its appearance at the wine vernissage in February. It doesn't yet have a label or even a name.

The runner-up was 2014 Raritet Rara Neagră from Dionysos Mereni.
