 chocolate-wine tasting

Chocolatier Nadejda Vishnyovskaya-Ipatyeva told us where inspiration comes from. And the stereotypes of wine and chocolate pairings was destroyed by sommelier Inna Shangina. Chocolate is seen as a product that's extremely hard to pair with wine. Sommeliers usually say that it doesn't go with wine. On Valentine's Day those who decided to take on this stereotype gathere at Invino enoteca and tried to find their perfect pair for chocolate.

What was tasted:

#1 - handmade basket out of white chocolate, with an olive and topped with Provance herbs + white dessert whine Moscato from Asconi.

#2 - handmade candy - a piece of caramelized pineapple in white chocolate + Sauvignon Blanc, 2011 Late Harvest from F'autor

#3 - handmade candy out of milk chocolate, coffee, and crushed roasted almonds + rose coupage wine Surori, 2015 from Gitana Winery

#4 - handmade candy in the form of a heart made from extra dark chocolate with spices - star anise, anise seeds, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, black pepper, dried cherries infused with red wine + dry Merlot Rădăcini, 2015 from Albastrele Wines.
