Tasting formats
Tasting formats:
-Horizontal tasting: a comparison of wines from the same harvest, usually having certain similar characteristics (grape variety, region, etc.) Tasting a group of wines from a single winemaker is also called a horizontal tasting.
-Vertical tasting: tasting the same wine, but different vintages (years of harvest).
-Blind tasting: evaluating wine quality without any prior information about the wine.
-Half-blind tasting: blindly tasting wine samples from a previously announced set of wines
