One’s impression of wine
One’s impression of wine or its aftertaste is measured in caudalie (derived from the Latin word caudal – tail). 1 caudalie is equal to 1 second. In mature drinks with a rich bouquet, the aftertaste is longer than 10 caudals. Great and legendary wines typically have 30 caudalie. However, there are also such wines, whose “tail” is not longer than a couple of seconds.
